Okay...so it has been several months...

...but I just uploaded a boatload of my 2011 digital pages for printing, so I thought I'd share a few here!
We took the boys for their first train ride last month!  They had been watching YouTube videos of the Attleboro Commuter Train (yes, we were amazed that anyone took photos of this) and called it the 'purple T train' for months.  The first thing they would ask when arriving at my door for a visit was to watch the Purple T Train video.  So...they were pretty thrilled when we actually went to Attleboro station and took the train two stops into Providence!  We had a great afternoon...and I'm sure will be taking the T Train again sometime soon!

Another thing the boys love to do when they are here is riding bikes!  We live in the perfect neighborhood for them to explore their biking talents!  Amazingly, with Tom's score at the yard sale last year, we have enough bikes for them all to ride, at least for now.  The littlest two wheeler is getting too small for even Alec to ride.
Katy and I got to watch a portion of the Royal Wedding live...it was on just about the same time we usually are up to go to school...so we watched for about a half hour and then left for our morning commute.  I realized that I have a BBC station on satellite radio, so we were able to listen to the rest of the wedding as we rode.  I remember getting up to watch Lady Di's wedding so many years ago...it was fun to share this with Katy!
Did I already post this?  We are so proud of Katy, who is now a third degree Brown Belt!  She is on her way to her adult Black Belt and loving it!
Katy's Grease performance was in June...she played quite a few parts but got her longest stage time singing the solo, Freddie My Love!  She did awesome...we were quite proud of her!
Yup...more karate news!  Katy took a special class at her dojo that was taught by the son of the father of Kempo karate (got that)?  I kept thinking Ghostbusters b/c his name was Ed Parker Jr, but the Ghostbusters guy was RAY Parker Jr.  I'm really dating myself! LOL!

We are fortunate to have several really nice nature trails about five minutes from our house.  We have taken advantage of the Attleboro Springs Trail several times now...beautiful land abutting the LaSalette Shrine.  It is a great place to take the boys...and this time, we tried to give them a lesson on map reading skills.  Guess it would help if they knew how to read!

Hope you all had a great 4th holiday and are enjoying this great summer weather!
