We have escaped what has been a very chilly Spring and are enjoying the sunshine in Miami for a week! We traveled down with Katy and her best friend Katie and have had an enjoyable time checking out the sights of southern Florida. Monday, we spent the day getting orientated and shopping for food essentials. Tuesday was our day in the Everglades, complete with tours of the local native american reservation, air boat ride through the glades, and lunch at a local BBQ pit. Yesterday, we were up at dawn and did the four hour trip on US 1 through the keys to Key West, the southernmost tip of the US. Beautiful scenery...gorgeous weather! Spent our day there letting the girls shop and soaked up the tropical sights. Today, we are hanging out...only thing scheduled is a trip to a local boutique mall (where I hope to score the Palm Tree Trollbead from the spring releases), mojitos by the pool and some Cuban food. Oh...and of course, more Yoghurtland, the frozen yoghurt shop that the girls are addicted to...we haven't missed a day there! We are looking forward to meeting up with some local friends over the next couple of days...and an Easter brunch on Sunday.
