Its a new year...and a new season!

So I'm going to try this blogging again with hopes of making a weekly entry! Wish me luck!

The summer is off to a good start. The picture above welcomed in one of my favorite months of the year as it was taken at the Memorial Day parade in Attleboro. Katy is the banner holder on the right for the library volunteer group. It was a spectacular day...beautiful weather, and Capron Park, where the parade ended, was cool and in the throws of spring blooms.

After the parade, we headed to Target to purchase a new grill that was on special. Kirk was alarmed when our old, old grill seemed to be making an unusual hissing noise when he used it. He and I spent several hours that afternoon putting it together.

Katy had a great 'end of the year', receiving all As and Bs on her final report card! She met her goal for the year! We celebrated by having her pick out another Troll bead for her bracelet (she chose China Blue) and she also got a Kirk's Folly light switch (which she chose months before) for meeting her goals.

So here it is, early July already. We had a small cookout on the 3rd, which was fun, as we took our turn for a monthly event with our neighbor friends. The 4th was spent inside where we enjoyed our cool house when the outdoors was humid and in the 90s. Today, the 5th, Kirk is working in the afternoon. I'm off to do my 'Monday House Blessing' via flylady. Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!
